Lesson 10/10 out of Languages on a Plate’s beginner module: All About Me, which is centred around teaching the basics for Spanish beginners (perfect for Year 7).
This lesson introduces students to countries in Spanish, reinforces the verb “ser” in the Present and explicitly goes over Present Tense conjugations so that pupils can describe where they’re from and what languages they speak. The lesson builds on the knowledge from the first nine lessons in the module, which taught them the core verbs “ser” and “tener”, in addition to adjective agreements.

- Recap the verb “ser” (to be) and how to agree adjectives
- Learn how to conjugate regular “ar” and “ir” verbs to finish the lesson by saying which languages you speak and where you live
