Lesson 9/10 out of Languages on a Plate’s beginner module: All About Me, which is centred around teaching the basics for Spanish beginners (perfect for Year 7).
This lesson introduces students to animals (pets and then above and beyond animals after the lesson) in Spanish so students can describe any pets they might have. The lesson builds on the knowledge from the first eight lessons in the module, which taught them the core verbs “ser” and “tener”, in addition to adjective agreements and colours.
Learning intention: to express if you have any pets and to describe them
Learning outcomes:
- Learn the vocabulary for pets
- Use adjectives accurately to describe pets/animals
- Write a sentence describing what pets you have (or that someone else has)
